ETHICALLY VACUOUS SOCIETY

This world is divided into different cultures and societies. These societies have seen different phases from the day they were formed. At first, men were not that much aware of the methods to survive in the world but gradually they learned different techniques to breath safely and peacefully. Men, after getting frustrated of fights and bloodshed on every single day, came up with an idea of a social group of individuals in which they will live together, which later developed as Society. There is a big story of times humans of present era have gone through to step in 21st century.

Our society has also gone through various  phases to reach out in its current position. It has evolved time by time. Men acquired different knowledge, ethics and wisdom in order to compete with other nations and to win the race, But it is very unfortunate to see that we compete with others like a warrior but we have always seen brutal defeats in that race! There is a long list of the reasons of it but what I think is that different nations have evolved and developed by time. They have found the ways from where they can touch the peaks of development.

However, we have been on back foot in that case. We haven't much achievements on our side. We have lacked politically, socially and ethically. Our narrow ideologies have got us down and down. The curse of religious extremism has annihilated our society. We are suffering from it for a long time but still we are unable to find counter narrative of it on larger scale.

Moreover, Our politics is also bodge by egocentric and self-loving politicians.   Country is being looted, pillaged and is being pushed back by these despoilers day by day. There seems to be no check and balance on these looters. It looks like Government has nothing to do with these corrupts, what only the rulers are doing is saving their government from Dharna parties. Furthermore, our politicians seems to be so ethically vacuos as they are always found abusing each other. Attacking on personal life has become a profession and a time pass technique for our politicians. Women is'nt off the hook from such personal attacks. It was seen by masses in Pakistan in recent times that some respected legislators caught talking something worst on the floor of legislative assemblies.

The status of women is not only hurt by members of legislative assemblies but socially women has also been worstly anguished. They are deprived of their fundamental rights including right to get education in the most areas of Pakistan. More on that, If any girl dares to break the chains of bondage and comes out in social life to get education and make out to any University, she faces pessimal environment around her. While moving on street, she confronts sharpy and lustful eyes of men.
She is gifted taunts and jokes when she makes some mistake in public. Even if two parties come in conflict with each other, they badmouth one another's women!
Our society's vision to women has not changed. It is same as it was in past few decades or we can say it is now even more worst!

We live in an era where there is an endless race between nations. Every nation is busy in crossing and defeating other competitor but we are tied up in defining each other's character to one another. We are tied up in explaining who is Kaafir and Who is Musalmaan. Who is a patriot and who is a Gadaar! This whole stuff draw nothing but a ETHICALLY VACUOS SOCIETY!

The more worst is we haven't been able to find any counter-narrative to this situation. Our society has been crumbling like this for a long time but we are still unable to find any path-breaking solution for this. Moreover, Instead of finding any solution, we are destroying and hitting axe on our own feet by destroying our education, which is only source of our survival. Education is is the only bridge which can help us to get across from the dark valleys of illiteracy to the luminous paths of glory, But unfortunately, we aren't accepting to choose those paths. We choose and we prefer some 'shortcuts' to get to our destination, Which has done nothing but drowned us to a greater extent! Trends of 'copy culture' in exams and 'sufaarish' culture in our bureaucracy has demolished the social and ethical manners from our Society. Due to the lack of education, illiteracy has ceaselessly spread its roots in society which has resulted in grown intolerance, extremism and inhumanity!

We are now at the point where we have to decide that are we going to choose this same way on which we have been going through for a long time which has get us down or we will pave a new way which can lead us to success? If we choose to pave a new way, we will have to change ourselves at first. Our society will always be ethically vacuous till we dont work collectively for the betterment of it. We will have to come on one page and perform our social and political duties that has been laid on us. Politicians and rulers are ought to do politics that should not only be power-oriented, working for the well being of people and forming public-friendly policies is also the duty of our rulers. The aim of our bureaucracy should be 'to serve the people at best' rather than 'to loot people at worst'.

We, individuals are ought to respect laws which is our responsibility as well. We should respect each others opinion in order to form a conflict free society. We are supposed to create an environment where everyone can move independently, doesn't matter if that is a woman or a person related to other nationality, sect or religion.
Our society needs such kind of humanitarian values that will help us to compete confidently with the developed world. For all this change, we will have to put EDUCATION on our first priority or we may see even more worst time than this!
